Bloom Buddy is an intelligent plant monitoring device powered by the UNIHIKER K10 development board. Combining environmental sensing with interactive features, it revolutionizes plant care through real-time tracking of soil moisture, light levels, temperature and humidity.

The device brings plants to life with dynamic facial expressions - displaying a happy face when hydrated or a sad expression when thirsty. Its voice feedback system provides timely care reminders based on plant conditions.

Looking ahead, Bloom Buddy can evolve with wireless connectivity for remote monitoring, machine learning algorithms to predict optimal watering schedules, and voice command capabilities for hands-free operation. The system also supports customization of expressions and animations to suit different plant personalities.

2 New firmware update for LLM Voice/Visual Chatbot xiaozhi AI

XiaoZhi-ESP32, a trending open-source project on GitHub, leverages the capabilities of the ESP32-S3 and integrates APIs from models like DeepSeek to enable localized AI voice chat. The UNIHIKER K10, when flashed with the English firmware, transforms into a responsive smart terminal that supports multi-turn dialogue, wake word detection, and real-time translation.

Recently, we released firmware version 1.7.4, which brings exciting new features:

- Support WeChat dialog history interface to preview the camera screen

- Support MCP protocol voice control of onboard RGB lights, such as “set all lights to blue”, “set the first light to yellow”.
