We're excited to share some great news with the UNIHIKER community: DFRobot UNIHIKER K10 has won the Teach Secondary "EdTech & Software" award at the 2025 TeachCo Resource Awards.
Organized by TeachCo, the awards recognize educational tools that make a real impact in classrooms. Among a record number of entries this year, UNIHIKER K10 stood out for its strong contribution to hands-on AI, computing, and STEM education at the secondary level.

Recognized for Making AI and STEM Accessible
UNIHIKER K10 was created to make AI, IoT, and computing concepts easy to understand, easy to use, and inspiring to explore for K–12 learners and programming beginners. This palm-sized AI coding board brings together display, connectivity, sensing, and interaction in one classroom-ready device. With its built-in screen, camera, microphone, speaker, wireless connectivity, and multiple onboard sensors, students can quickly move from ideas to working projects—without complex wiring or extra components. With support for Mind+(block-based programming) and MicroPython, UNIHIKER K10 allows students to move smoothly from beginner-friendly coding to more advanced, real-world programming—without the complexity of wiring multiple external modules.

What the Judges Said
The judging panel highlighted how the UNIHIKER K10 brings advanced technology into an accessible, inspiring learning format:
"This tiny board feels like a whole AI lab for the price of a textbook! Camera, microphone, speaker and a stack of sensors are ready to go, and students can code in block based tools or MicroPython."
"This is brilliant for secondary computing classes, from a motion-trigger wildlife camera to data logging and robotics projects that will get pupils confident and excited about their future using intelligent devices."
"Holding this in my hand it is easy to imagine a dedicated group of students 3D printing cases, building DIY mobile devices, writing their own apps, and creating a wide range of cross-curricular projects—all with the K10 as a foundation."
These comments reflect exactly what UNIHIKER aims to support: creativity, confidence, and practical problem-solving through hands-on learning.
Winning the Teach Secondary EdTech & Software Award is not just a milestone—it’s motivation.
