6.Remote Desktop
The UNIHIKER comes with a remote desktop service enabled, allowing you to view the board's interface in real-time on your PC. This is useful for teaching demonstrations or capturing screenshots for tutorials. There are multiple software options for connecting to the UNIHIKER board, including Windows Remote Desktop, MobaXterm, and VNC.
Windows Remote Desktop¶
Windows has a built-in Remote Desktop Connection, allowing you to connect to the UNIHIKER without any additional software required.
- To find Remote Desktop Connection on Windows, open the Start menu and click on Windows Accessories, or search for Remote Desktop Connection directly. You can also use the keyboard shortcut win+R and type in "mstsc" to open it.
- To connect to the UNIHIKER, enter its IP address. In this example, we will use the IP address 10.1.2.3 when connected via USB. If prompted for a username and password, enter root as the username and dfrobot as the password.
After connecting, you can minimize the window to a floating window for easier viewing.
To enlarge the screen for better viewing, you can right-click on the title bar and choose "Zoom".
MobaXterm¶
MobaXterm is a multifunctional software that allows for SSH connections, file transfers, remote desktop access, and more.
- After installing MobaXterm, open the program and create a new session. Select VNC and enter the UNIHIKER's IP address to begin. If prompted for a username and password, enter root as the username and dfrobot as the password.
- In the Options menu, you can adjust the Scale by, Protocol, and JPEG image quality settings.
VNC Viewer¶
After installing VNC Viewer, open the program and enter the UNIHIKER's IP address, then enter the password dfrobot to connect.
